At 4,167m, Mount Toubkal is the highest mountain in North Africa. The hike to the summit is challenging, but requires no mountaineering experience and the panoramic view from the summit makes the hard work worthwhile. With the start of the trek just a couple of hours drive from Marrakech, you can reach the summit and back within 2 days and still have plenty of time to explore Morocco’s most captivating city, Marrakech.Toubkal has become a magnet for trekkers heading to the Atlas Mountains. The Jebel Toubkal trek is typically done in two days. The first day begins with the relatively easy walk from Imlil along the Mizane Valley towards Aremd Village and the Muslim shrine of Sidi Chamarouch, followed by the tougher push up to the Toubkal Refuge, making around five hours walking in all. Most trekkers then aim to start early the following morning for the 3 hour scramble up to the summit (the trail at this point is a rocky scree covered path). At the summit, the views are incredible taking in most of the Atlas Mountains and on a clear day, the Sahara. The descent back down to Imlil takes around five hours.

: Marrakech - Arba Tighedouine - Ait Stimane. We drive (1 hour) to Arba Tighedouine where begin the trek following the Zat Valley through the Berber village of Talatast to Ait Stimane (1200m. / 3937ft.). Camp.

: Ait Stimane - Ouarzazt Village - Agdal n'Irkane.Trek up onto the Yagour Plateau via the village of Ouarzazt. We camp at the high pasture of Agdal n'Irkane (2300m. / 7545ft.).

: Agdal n'Irkane - Setti Fatima - Agadir Ait Boulmane.Descending more than 1000m. / 3000ft. we reach the village of Setti Fatima. After lunch trek towards the gorge of the Ourika and our camp at Agadir Ait Boulmane (1500m. / 4921ft.)

: Agadir Ait Boulmane - Tizi Boukchoud.A beautiful day trek through the Ourika Valley to the foot of the Tizi Boukchoud pass . Camp (2500m. / 8202ft.).

: Tizi Boukchoud - Adouz.Cross the Tizi Boukchoud (2976m. / 9764ft.) with superb views of the Toubkal range and descend to Adouz (2700m. / 8858ft.). Camp.

: Adouz - Tinzert Valley.Traverse of Adrar n'Dern. (4001m. / 13,127ft.) and descend to the head of the Tinzart valley (c. 3000m. /10,000ft.). Camp.

: Tinzart - Tizi n'Ouray - Amsouzart Village.After a short climb to the Tizi n'Ourai we make a long descent to the village of Amsouzart (1740m. / 5709ft.) where we stay overnight in a gite.

: Amsouzart - Ifni Lake. Trek to Lake Ifni, the largest lake in the central Atlas. After lunch continue up into the Ounoums Gorge to a camp at 2700m. / 8858ft.

: Infi - Toubkal Refuge.We start the day with a steep climb to the Tizi-n-Ouanoums (3650m. / 11,975ft.). From there is the option to ascend Ouanoukrim (4088m. / 13,412ft.), before descending to Toubkal Refuge at 3207m. / 10,522ft.

: Refuge - Summit -Refuge. An early start for the ascent of Toubkal (4167m. / 13,672ft.). From the summit we descend to camp by a different route.

: Refuge - Tizi n'Tadat - Tamsoult.We ascend to the col of the Tizi Tadate (3800m. / 12,467ft.). From here we have the option to ascend Bouguinoussen (4025m. / 13,205ft.) before a descent toTamsoulte (2100m. / 6890ft.). Camp.

: Tamsoult - Tizi Mzik - Imlil.A final climb across the Tizi Mzik brings us to the end of the trek at Imlil. Here we stay overnight in a traditional guesthouse.

: Transfer bakc to Marrakech. Afternoon sightseeing around the Djemaa-el-Fna and souks, with an English speaking guide. Celabration dinner.

: Transfer to the airport.
